In 2004, most of them were discarded and recycled.

In 2006, hybrid vehicles began to see a resurgence of production. This time, the strains were developed and now, hybrids will soon become the new standard. The fact of the matter, however, is that while the packaging may be new, the real technology behind the hybrid has passed a century are being developed.
