We bought this mower in April 2007, approximately one year, Like every other reviewer, cheap plastic on / off switch broke. Fortunately, he was a critic who suggested drilling holes in the assembly and replacement broken plastic switch with a metal screw. Worked like a charm (why not B & D did in the first place?). The lawn mower works medium and large, if you let the grass is too high. But we give only one star, because it is now May 2010 and the mower stopped working. The charger has a green color, which means that the battery is charged, but when you turn the switch, nothing happens. We brought lawn mower instead of the B & service D site. I guarantee fatigue. We will update this review when we hear back from the servants. If the repair cost more than $ 100, we'll probably ditch this thing (because, when reading comments from others I'm sure more problems with pop-up). No other B & D of products for us.

Update: We have mower in the service ... $ 130 bill to fix the motor switch wire. I do not remember exactly what techniques he said, but did not work something about transition and burned wires. Working fine now and see if it lasts ...

I bought this mower in September 0f 2008. In general I like the mower, but has some problems. I agree with most respondents it is something heavier than a similar gas mowers. Do not cut the grass very uniform medium length (leaving a bit of a bump on one side) and have a hard time high grass. My main problem is that today, the plastic post on the switch handle was broken, which defeats the mower. This confirms what many critics have said about the switch to be the weak link in this mower. Guess I'll have to borrow my neighbor's Toro until set. The good news is that it has warranted for two years and I'm within that period.

In short - a great cutter

I'm in my second season using the CMM1200. At first I was skeptical I was still working after being charged in the garage for the winter. But it still works as well as when you bought it last year.

I have a medium-sized yard is relatively flat which is ideal for this mower. Of course it is heavier than a standard gas powered mower, but it is on wheels boys. Not like you have to carry ...

I have also heard complaints about the loss of the key. I put mine on a key ring attached to the mower. Unless you store the thing out of his garage, who cares? The key will be there when needed.

This mower was more expensive than a gasoline substitute (Unless you look at Boys lawn mowers or other high level), but the ease of use and disposal of gas, oil and maintenance is well worth it. Also they do not stink the neighborhood with fumes and smoke and is quieter than a hair dryer for my wife. You will enjoy cutting the grass with a clear conscience. Perfect to Suburbia!

I had the previous model of this machine for six years and loved it. The battery is not much of a load now (only about 20 minutes), but I'll buy the latest model now. This mower is a great way to go green because there are no emissions and it still works very well. If you have a large lawn, as I did (half acre), I had to cut half and then load it, then cut the other half. I love this mower however ... I am a regular customer!

I am satisfied with the shopping experience and product. Everything went smoothly, and even now, after two uses, We are very pleased with the mower. Only this week I've had a few and have only used twice, but until now runs as expected and I have no serious complaint. It does well in tall grass, but I think that goes for most of the cutters. Some points that I had to cut several times in different directions.

Great small chain saw

I use this saw for three days and I'm really impressed. I allready had another two batteries and a charger for batteries with three magazines and two that I can do much before running out of juice. It will have a tree 10 inches thick and have a lot of two or three inches easily, really lite weight and easy to use, I highly recommend.

This is the saw chain always starts! I gave my gas chainsaw. It was the first tool Black & Decker 18volt I purchased. Amo because this court can do much around the farm. I have the alligator lopper and some others that I bought so I have batteries for extended use, but the chainsaw and depleted soil and needs to be recharged at the same time, so it works well. I recommend this because my friends are buying them by their husbands because they are always loans for mine clearance of your property.

have had this saw for about three years and use it regularly for the cleanup and removal of trees in Vermont. easy to use, easy to maintain and the battery lasts about 40-50 cuts before factors in (usually less than 4 "diameter trees.) bought keep a second battery and two counts, giving a longer workday. if it is to break i would replace it without thinking twice.

Good but could be better

In my I like the cordless saw my little patio. I recently had to clear the bushes away from my house so the painter could have access. The painter said that could have cleared the brush about 4 times the price of Black & Decker cordless chainsaw, so I bought the B & D cordless place and made myself.

I will use is One Hour a year so the included battery and charger should be fine.

One thing I noticed is that the gun string needs less than 30W oil, as indicated in the instructions. With 30w oil, would not apply to oil the chain. I saw a Husqvarna chain oil and can not release oil into the chain either. Instead, I used 3-in-one oil. This worked perfectly. I also tried some 5W-30 motor oil an oiler external hand and also worked well, but it is inconvenient. If you keep the oil in the oil tank 5w chain more or less, you should not have a problem.
It is important to maintain the chain of chain oil performed much faster if left dry.

I would recommend you try different oils weight for the lubrication of the chain to determine what works best for you.

This thing ROCKS!

I have a gas chainsaw, but I wanted this High Power battery for small jobs. I had to use it for anything other than cut branches and small shrubs saplings, but I found it a chain saw fledged and quite capable of shooting down a 7 "tree without any problems. The first time I put it to serious use, I had to finish with a very large oak tree (7" diameter) and as usual could not get my gas was started. So I took the little B + D + a new battery and went to him. He passed the tree as a butter knife! I was very impressed, and now when I have to cut trees, hold the B & D first. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and work and will drop anything within the sting of a bar. It simply rocks!

I think the guys in Black & Decker actually use the tools to do because this range, like all B & D Power Tools, is well thought out, well built, and everything in it makes sense. They have a real winner with this saw.
I recommend it.
