What's your best money saving tip?

I'm looking for ways to reduce the everyday expenses in order to have more money to spend on things I actually enjoy. So far, I've taken off the bundle package on my SBC/AT&T bill, raised the temperature my air conditioner is set too (I live in Texas), been more conservative with light use, and unplugged appliances I don't use. Does anybody have any other good tips on saving money?

Make sure every space in your fridge/freezers is completely full. Freeze bottles of water in excess space. Go through your house with a caulk gun, redo all windows and exterior door jams, this will help on cooling/heating. Is your attic insulated well? Make sure. Switch bulbs to energy efficient ones. Do you live in a cell coverage area? Sometimes this is cheaper than regular phone service. Check the rates on Satellite v/s cable. If you have Internet evaluate your usage time, you may want to switch from high speed to a more affordable dial up if you are not on very often. Check your water pipes for leaking or dripping, this will make water bills go up. Remember those frozen bottles of water in the freezer? If you take one out to put in food, let it melt and water plants with it. Check on lowering your rate on home and car by refinancing, many companies will try to work with you so that they do not loose your loan, if you have paid every month on time since the first payment date, you should be right on target to refinance. Don't cut up credit cards! If you close an account that you have had a long time and paid well on..you loose the good credit you have obtained. This could make your credit scores go down! Pay on them every month and try to pay more than the bare minimum...this will reflect well on your credit. Anything you buy, divide it by the amount of money you make per hour. Ask yourself...would I work 5 hours for just this one thing? This curbs almost all of my splurge spending!
